Not FDA-approved: its developer's Phase 2b obesity trial in 536 patients missed its primary endpoint and development was abandoned in 2007. FDA placed AOD-9604 in category 2 (significant safety risks) for compounding and in 2024 concluded the evidence weighs against adding it; the nomination was then withdrawn. WADA names AOD-9604 explicitly as a growth-hormone fragment (S2.2.3), prohibited at all times.
