What is GHRP-2?
Limited human dataa.k.a. Pralmorelin (GHRP Kaken, Japan)A lab-made molecule that mimics ghrelin, the hunger hormone, to make the pituitary release growth hormone. Japan uses it as a diagnostic test for growth-hormone deficiency.
Good to know: In the US it has the legal status of an unapproved research chemical, and it produces more cortisol/prolactin release than some newer, more selective secretagogues.

Regulatory status
No FDA-approved drug
Not FDA-approved. Japan is the one country that has approved it: pralmorelin is marketed there by Kaken as a single-dose diagnostic for growth-hormone deficiency, not as a treatment. FDA placed injectable and nasal GHRP-2 in category 2 (significant safety risks) for outsourcing-facility compounding in September 2023 and lists it in category 3 under section 503A; WADA prohibits it at all times (S2.2.4).
