No FDA-approved drug
Not FDA-approved: two US emergency-use requests for aviptadil in COVID-19 respiratory failure were declined, and FDA lists vasoactive intestinal peptide in category 1 of the section 503A compounding nominations, meaning it is under evaluation rather than approved. A combination of aviptadil with phentolamine (Invicorp) is authorized in the UK for erectile dysfunction.
